Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 5, 2026
Last Updated: November 5, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to I Choose You ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application I Choose You, including its widgets and Live Activities (the "App"). The App is operated by Jakub Sobotka, who is the controller of your personal data. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Your name or display name, the email address and account identifier provided when you sign in with Apple or Google, and the profile picture you choose to upload
- Content: Questions you answer, messages and reactions you send, photos and drawings you share, voice messages and custom sounds you record, GIFs you choose, notes you write, and questions or feedback you send us
- Where Am I? Game: The photos you choose to play with and the location saved in them, so your partner can guess where they were taken
- Pairing and Relationship Information: Pairing codes you generate or enter, and details you add such as dates and countdowns
- Purchases: Your subscription status and history, purchases of Sparks (our in-app currency) and your Sparks balance. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment card details
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Identifiers: Your account ID, device identifiers, and, only if you allow tracking, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Usage Data: Features you use, in-app events (for example answering a question or sending a photo), app version, language, and time zone
- Device Information: Device model and operating system version
- Diagnostics: Crash reports and performance data
- Push Notification Tokens: To deliver notifications and widget updates
2.3 Information That Stays on Your Device
- Photo Library: To suggest photos for the Where Am I? game, the App looks through your photo library on your device. Your photos and their locations leave your phone only for the photos you choose to play with
- Widgets and Live Activities: A copy of the information shown in widgets (such as your streak and your partner's latest photo) is stored on your device
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide App Functionality: Enable pairing with your partner, store and deliver your content, run games, streaks, widgets, and Sparks
- Send Notifications: Alert you to new messages, questions, reminders, and app updates
- Process Purchases: Manage subscriptions, offers, and Sparks through RevenueCat and Apple
- Improve the App: Analyze how the App is used to improve features and content
- Measure Advertising: Understand which of our ads bring new couples to the App and improve those ads
- Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues
- Provide Support: Answer your questions and review feedback and question suggestions you send us
- Comply with Legal Requirements: Meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 With Your Partner
When you pair with someone in the App, you share:
- Your display name and profile picture
- Questions you answer, messages, photos, drawings, and voice messages you send
- Reactions and responses to shared content
- Where Am I? photos and their locations
- Your streak progress and Sparks you send
- Subscription status (Premium is shared by the couple)
4.2 With Service Providers
These companies process data on our behalf to run the App:

4.3 With Advertising and Measurement Partners

- AppsFlyer: Install attribution, which tells us which ad or link led to an install. If you allow tracking, this includes your advertising identifier
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some laws (for example California's), sharing data with advertising partners may be considered "sharing" or a "sale"; see Section 5 for your choices.
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
4.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Tracking and Your Choices
On iOS, the App asks for your permission before accessing your device's advertising identifier (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, we and our partners do not access it. You can change your choice at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
To ask us not to share your information with advertising partners, or to exercise any other right in Section 7, email us at the address in Section 12.
